One subject a month, and one labelled sponsor line that changes nothing.
The sponsor does not choose the subject, does not see the issue early, is never mentioned in the editorial, and never receives a single subscriber address.

What the briefing is
A monthly email that takes one subject from this site and works it through properly, usually the one readers have been asking about. It is written for both audiences: the individual swimmer and the person running the session. It carries no product recommendations, because this publication does not make any.
The Swimming SPF briefing
A monthly email for swimmers and for the people who run sessions. One subject at a time, worked through properly. It carries a single sponsor line, always labelled, sold at a published rate, and the sponsor sees nothing before you do and changes nothing.
We use your address for the briefing and nothing else. See privacy.
The sponsor line
Each issue carries one sponsor line. It sits in a fixed position, it is labelled Sponsor, and it is written by the sponsor within the same content rules that govern the register: no safety claims, no health claims, no superlatives, no water quality figures, no product endorsement.
| Item | Terms |
|---|---|
| Slots per issue | One. Never two. |
| Rate | Published flat rate, identical for every buyer, issued in writing before payment |
| Label | Marked as a sponsor line in the issue itself, not only in the footer |
| Copy approval | We approve the copy against the content rules. The sponsor approves nothing of ours. |
| Advance sight | None. The sponsor sees the issue when subscribers do. |
| Subject influence | None. Sponsors do not know the subject before they buy. |
| Editorial mention | Never. A sponsor is not mentioned in the body of the issue or on this site. |
| Subscriber data | Never shared, never rented, never sold. Sponsors receive no list and no addresses. |
What sponsorship cannot buy
Everything in the list on the criteria page applies here without change. In particular a sponsor cannot influence any guidance on this site, cannot suggest a subject, cannot be quoted, cannot be linked from an article, and cannot appear in the register on preferential terms. If a sponsor asks, the relationship ends and the money goes back.
Who we will not take sponsorship from
The same refusal list as the register: no sunscreen, skincare, supplement or treatment brands; no organisation making medical or therapeutic claims about water; no organisation offering unsupervised instruction to children; and nobody who asks for editorial in the same conversation.
Your data
We hold your address to send you the briefing. We do not profile you, we do not share the list and we do not sell it. Unsubscribe is a single click and takes effect immediately. See privacy.
